Latest Freelance Work

Recently I had the pleasure of working on a digital painting for the May Cover on Tyra.com for a Nationwide announcement of “Modelland,” where she is writing several novels. It’s currently featured on Www.Tyra.com and www.People.com along with a few other online publications. This was a great opportunity, and I had a blast doing it. Minus the photography, I’m responsible for all the art you see in these, enjoy! This was done in Photoshop CS3 on my Wacom Intuos 3. Go ahead and click on these to see the bigger versions!

Updates on the blob!

I’ve been working a ton on The Blob for the past few weeks. I’m really happy with how it’s coming out so far, and I have a nice thread going at CGtalk that’s recording my progress on it.

Freelance done again

Well I finished some more freelance work for Tyra.com Thanks to Amy for getting me the work yet again. Last time I was buried somewhere in the “online” magazine, hell I couldn’t even find it unless I had the direct link, lol. But hey hey, this time the stuff I did was on the main page, and was the cover for the March “online magazine” issue for the website. Very fun! I had to make her look like a paper doll, and make some dresses pseudo fit her. Hopefully I can continue doing this, as it’s just a nice thing to keep me busy while I’m looking for a full time position!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! (Ok, it was yesterday)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! A little Leprechaun I did a while ago, that certainly makes for a good post today!!

Some new work!

Well, I’ve decided to create some new assets. I started working on this project…. well, about right after I graduated Full Sail in 08. I got a job, so I put it down for a while, and decided about a month ago to pick it up again. So here I am, working on The Blob (Classic X-men Style, not that disgusting fat man from the wolverine movie that was “supposed” to be The Blob.

I have a few sketches of the concept, which I’ll be sharing once I get them scanned in, and/or if I decide to digitally paint it so I don’t have to scan it, and I can work on some of the lines without one thousand eraser marks. At any rate, I’m working on the base mesh at the moment. I’m about… 85-90% done with it, there are still some things that are bothering me about it, and he’s not attached. I also have to create some blendshapes to have his mouth open, as I didn’t model it like that. I figure that’s much easier than opening it up in Zbrush etc. As much as I love Zbrush, I love being able to directly control each vertex with precision. So, a front side and back view of where he’s at.
